Important
This checker is an author preparation aid. Colour is checked inside the finished TrimBox, so crop and trim marks outside the finished page are ignored. RGB black, RGB grey and colour-separated text or vector content are counted as colour even when they appear black or grey on screen. Embedded RGB, CMYK or spot-colour image data that appears grey is listed for review. One-channel DeviceN Black images are treated as black and white. Final professional preflight or printing press RIP analysis may still differ.

Preview your cover layout
Choose a single-page PDF containing the whole outside cover: back on the left, spine in the centre and front on the right. Enter the exact dimensions from your printer's cover template.
For hardcover books, use the panel or board dimensions specified on the template. Hinge widths are added separately on each side of the spine; wrap is added around the outside. These guides do not calculate an approved cover template.
Cover preview checks layout dimensions only. It does not check cover colour counts, image resolution, fonts or artwork bleed coverage. Keep important text away from trim, hinges and folds. Background artwork should continue through the bleed or wrap.
